Accessibility statement
The State Capital of Kiel endeavours to make its website kielmobil.app accessible in accordance with § 11 paragraph 1 of the State Disability Equality Act (LBGG) and the accessibility requirements pursuant to § 13 paragraph 3 LBGG.
Compliance Status
This website is partially compliant with § 13 paragraph 3 LBGG.
Non-Accessible Content
The following content is not accessible:
- Push notifications (CleverPush): The integrated third-party widget for push notifications has insufficient colour contrast. As this is an external component that cannot be fully customised by us, there are limitations in accessibility.
- Dynamic colour palettes: The website uses a dynamic colour system in which content is categorised by colour. For some colour combinations, contrast ratios may fall below the minimum requirements. The contrast function in the accessibility settings can be used to deactivate the dynamic colour palettes and replace them with high-contrast colours.
- Embedded third-party content: External widgets and embedded content (e.g. maps, timetable data) may contain barriers that are beyond our control.
Accessibility Features
kielmobil.app offers the following features to improve accessibility:
- Font size adjustment: The font size can be adjusted in three levels.
- High contrast: A mode with increased contrast for better readability is available.
- Disable animations: All animations can be disabled. Additionally, the system setting for reduced motion (prefers-reduced-motion) is automatically detected and respected.
- Hide images: Images can be hidden if required.
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements of the website are fully accessible via keyboard.
- Semantic HTML: The website uses semantic HTML with ARIA landmarks for good accessibility with screen readers.
- Bilingual: All content is available in German and English.
These settings can be accessed via the accessibility icon (universal access) in the header and footer area of the page and are permanently stored in the browser.
